Artizan International is excited to share a transformative shift in our leadership model, as we introduce a new senior team led by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and an Operations & Finance Officer (OFO) with a supportive Overseas lead role based in South America.
This evolution marks an important milestone in our journey, strengthening our ability to deliver life-changing creative opportunities for disabled people in the UK and overseas. Our new model reflects our values as a charity, ensuring that collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth remain at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to announce that Liz Cluderay will become our new CEO. Liz has been with Artizan since 2017 and was instrumental in growing our Harrogate services from two weekly therapeutic craft sessions to the vibrant operations we have today. These now include a full timetable of services and activities, from community events fostering social inclusion, to work in schools, training enterprises, and of course our much-loved training café, which has become the heart of Harrogate. Liz has built an incredible team of staff and volunteers that make this work happen every day, and they are thrilled to see the organisation continue to flourish under her leadership. Joining Liz in this new chapter, Sarah Davis will step into the role of Operations & Finance Officer (OFO). Sarah has been part of Artizan for four years and has transformed our governance and financial controls. Thanks to her expertise, we now have the robust structures needed to grow both in the UK and internationally, with clear and accountable processes to support our mission. Over the past year, Liz and Sarah have together guided Artizan through a challenging period with resilience and vision. The Trustees believe the charity could not be in better hands as we enter this exciting next stage of growth and impact. Terry Wilcox, Chair of Trustees, says: “Artizan International is excited to share a transformative shift in our leadership model as we introduce a new senior team led by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and an Operations & Finance Officer (OFO). This evolution marks an important milestone in Artizan’s journey, strengthening our ability to deliver life-changing creative opportunities for disabled people in the UK and in South America. Our new model reflects our values as a charity, ensuring that collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth remain at the heart of everything we do. After years of dedicated service and visionary leadership, our directors have laid the foundations for this next chapter. This new structure builds on that legacy and positions Artizan to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future with clarity and focus. We are committed to continue the incredible work of our Founder Susie Hart and build on her legacy of creating empowering opportunities for people with disabilities across the world. Her passion and vision remain at the heart of all we do and we will be forever grateful for her years of dedication.” You can read about these exciting changes in the Harrogate Advertiser, Gazette & Herald and The Press (York Press).
